Hello hello, i have managed to do some work on my portfolio and have bough an AI patrol / "Hide and seek" asset from the UE store. This allows me to implement more sections of the tutorial, the player is able to see what happens when the AI spots the player as well as an introduction to the patrol system. I have done a bit of thinking and am looking into adding a throwing mechanic to distract the AI, allowing the player to move "freely" around the environment. I have also decided that i will not be going to heavily on the programming of mechanics just yet as i want to get all of the systems implemented first and have a semi-playable demo. After this is achieved i will be looking into programming some mechanics and systems for the player, whilst i get more accustomed to C++. Below is a quick video of the current tutorial, with the AI spotting the player and being able to see enemy AI patrol paths.
